Bring Career Jam to Your Community!

Career Jam is revolutionizing how communities provide classroom-to-career programming for students of all backgrounds and abilities by hosting unique, inspirational, and impactful hands-on events. Since 2017, we've inspired over 17,000 students in the Capital Region of NY to imagine their future. Now, we're expanding and building a national presence.

Are you ready to bring Career Jam to your community?

Here’s the Process!

1

Become a Career Jam Champion

It starts with someone like you!

Are you someone who:

  • Embraces the mission and vision of Career Jam?

  • Recognizes how this program can make a lasting impact on your community?

  • Envisions an ecosystem in your region where students, educators, business professionals, and community stakeholders come together to improve the career exploration experience for the future workforce?

  • Cares deeply about your local community and investing in the future sustainability of the economy through retaining local talent?

  • Desires to mobilize community leaders to drive this effort?

Develop a Workforce Collaborative (WC)

Pull together key stakeholders.

Your Workforce Collaborative should be composed of individuals and organizations invested in bringing Career Jam to your region. Representation can include, but is not limited to:

  • Local chambers of commerce

  • Economic development corporations

  • Workforce development boards

  • Elected officials

  • Municipal departments

  • Boards of education

  • Regional BOCES or CTE administrators and/or educators

  • Key business leaders

The WC will play a crucial role in securing local funding, connecting with local businesses and schools, promoting the event within the community, and supporting the event by engaging with educators and business partners.

3

Select a Venue and Date

Once funding is secured, the Workforce Collaborative (WC) will collaborate with the Career Jam event team to select an ideal venue and date.

After that, our team will handle the rest of the event management and work with your local WC to continue promotion and marketing for schools and exhibitors.
